The Finance Manager reports directly to the Managing Director and heads up a team of two people responsible for the financial administration of both companies including:
- Monthly management accounts.
- Monthly cash flow forecasts and cash management.
- Budgeting/budgetary control.
- Purchase payment authorisations, including international payments.
- Credit control management.
- Bank accounts daily control and balancing.
- Quarterly VAT returns (MTD).
- Annual returns (P11d’s, confirmation statements etc)
- Capital expenditure calculations and monitoring.
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Monthly salaries and pensions.
- Managing and valuing Biannual stock takes
- Monthly stock reports.
- Monthly cost of sales assessment.
- Human resources.
- Annual insurance negotiations (commercial, DIS, debtor and medical).
- Main point of contact for banks, brokers, and auditors
The ideal candidate will have Knowledge of the following:
- Invoice discounting
- Standard costing
- Pension rules
- EFACS business system from Excel Computers
- Windows
- Excel/Word
This is a hands-on role and involves covering for the Accounts Assistant during holidays and sickness absence.
