A specialist manufacturing business in Kendal are looking to recruit a Commercial Accountant due to a recent acquisition. The business have experienced year-on-year growth for the last 6 years and have firmly established themselves as a market leader in their sector. It is an exciting time to join the business on their growth journey, they are heavily investing in their systems and have recently begun an ERP implementation which you will be involved in as part of this role.

Your role in your new job

This is a newly created position, sitting within a sizeable finance team and reporting to the Finance Director who is keen to act as a mentor to facilitate opportunities for development. As Commercial Accountant, you will take on a business partnering capacity working cross-functionally across the business to advise and deliver on key financial information, challenging on key areas where necessary. This is a very analytical role, you will recommend areas for enhancement, producing and developing reports on cost of sales, stock and gross margins. You will support with management accounting duties and assist with a number of upcoming projects including the ERP implementation.

Your experience and our requirements

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant looking to step away from month end routine. Ideally, you will have knowledge of the manufacturing sector and you’ll be comfortable in communicating at all levels, building and maintaining relationships. Strong systems skills including MS Excel are essential, ideally with knowledge of a mainstream ERP system.
