It is that time of year again where the search is on for the UK's best accountancy practice.
The past 12 months have been successful for many within the sector and it is time to honour the best of the best. Accountancy Age and the Best Employers Group have teamed up to find the cream of UK accountancy crop and are encouraging companies to register to join the 2014 Accountancy Age Best Employer programme. The survey and recognition initiative aims to find the best employer within accountancy.
Not only does the programme put firms in with a chance of being named the top dog among their peers but the research provides crucial benchmarking data for their operations. Jonathan Wall, managing director of Elman Wall, told Accountancy Age that the benchmarking information is "really important" for any business.
The practice which secures the highest ranking score in the 2014 Accountancy Age Best Employer Survey will be honoured at this year's British Accountancy Awards, scheduled for November. They will be able to sit alongside a number of previous winners which have gone down in the annals of history.
Elman Wall secured the title of Best Employer at the 2013 awards and the company has gone from strength to strength since that victory. Other winners at last year's event included the likes of Grant Thornton, MHA Macintyre Hudson, Lamont Pridmore and Stark Main & Co who won the Global Firm of the Year, National Firm of the Year, Independent Firm of the Year (North England) and Independent Firm of the Year (Scotland) accolade respectively.
Companies all across the country will be vying to be the next name to go down in the history books and be able to pride themselves with an accreditation that is recognised across the globe and could attract more business for years to come.
